This client commissioned a full bathroom renovation to transform a tired, all-white space into a warm, minimalist luxury retreat. The design brief centred on introducing brushed brass accents, natural stone finishes, and sleek, modern fixtures to elevate the room's overall aesthetic and ambience.

Our client in Littlehampton approached us with a clear vision: they wanted a complete bathroom transformation that elevated the space from dated and clinical to calming, modern and luxurious. The original bathroom was functional but uninspiring, finished with basic white tiles, chrome fittings, and a boxy and cold layout. They prioritised achieving a soft, spa-like atmosphere with premium materials, including brushed brass, large-format stone tiling, and minimal yet sculptural hardware.
The Challenge
Working within the existing bathroom's footprint, our team needed to reimagine the layout without changing the core plumbing locations. The original walls were tiled in standard ceramics, offering no depth or visual interest. Beneath the surface, the plumbing needed reworking to accommodate new brassware, wall-hung features, and a high-spec thermostatic shower system. We also had to work carefully with the natural light from the window to ensure the space felt bright but not stark, requiring a material palette that could reflect softness while still feeling elevated.
Step-by-Step Transformation
1. Strip-Out
We removed the previous suite, including the toilet, basin, bath, and full tiling. We stripped back the walls and floor to expose all hidden pipework, giving us a blank canvas from which to work. These early stages revealed legacy plumbing behind the basin and bath that required adjustment and set the groundwork for a cleaner layout moving forward.
2. Reboarding & Plumbing Prep
With everything exposed, we installed new pipework to suit the client's brassware selections, ensuring full compatibility with modern plumbing standards. New insulation was added to internal wall cavities, and moisture-resistant plasterboard was fitted throughout. This gave us a clean, level surface to begin setting out for tile placement and fixture positions.
3. Tiling with Precision
The client had chosen large-format stone-effect tiles to form the room's backdrop. These were carefully mapped out and laid using a precision levelling system to ensure flatness across the vertical and horizontal surfaces. We installed brushed brass trim around the shower recess and exposed tile edges, giving the space a warm, architectural frame that contrasted beautifully with the cool stone tones.
4. Fitting the Fixtures
With tiling complete, we moved on to fitting the feature brassware. The IMEX Ravine brushed brass thermostatic shower set was installed in the newly tiled recess, a sculptural centrepiece combining elegant form with expert function. Its cool-touch technology and dual-head design offer both luxury and safety, finished in warm brushed brass that stands out against the stone backdrop.
Below the shower, a 100% virgin brass brushed finish bath tap from IMEX was installed. The twin-lever control offers fluid usability, while its streamlined shape perfectly complements the rest of the brass accents. Each component was hand-fitted with extreme attention to alignment, sealing, and flow performance.
5. Final Details
The final stages included sealing, testing all brassware, and cleaning all surfaces to reveal the finished space. The transformation from cold white to rich stone and brass was immediate and striking. Every material and fitting had been selected to offer long-term durability and visual luxury.

The finished bathroom feels calm, elevated, and beautifully balanced. The stone walls soften the brass features and each brushed-finish piece makes a subtle yet powerful statement. Every line is clean, every fitting is aligned, and every detail is deliberate.
